So I pretty much stink at blogging. What starts out as a great intention usually fizzles faster than it started. However, my cousin, Nikki, has inspired me today. She is hosting a Foodie swap on her blog http://www.savingforarainydayblog.com/
I am excited as it's been years since I participated in a swap. Now to decide a theme.....Southwest seems fitting since we live in the desert! Now if I can only stay in the $15 price range

Nothing worse than a cold shower

The only thing worst than a cold shower in my opinion is a shower with little to no pressure. Or perhaps a shower head that sprays a millon droplet missiles...you know the kind that sprays so hard you feel as if it is gonna take some skin. Well I found a great solution to clogged shower heads I wanted to share.
Explosive Showerhead Cleaner
Use this ”explosive“ homemade cleaner to blast away all of those hard water deposits that are blocking your showerhead:
Here’s an easy DIY recipe:
-1/3 cup baking soda
-1 cup white vinegar
-1 plastic bag
-1 large bag twisty tie

Breakfast - it's what's for dinner!

I'll be the first to admit it, I hate to cook. Maybe not hate, but dislike it very much. I don't know if it's I'm not that great at it or not creative enough or what. It is so monotonous. The idea for this blog came when I was posting on my facebook about being to lazy to cook dinner for my family of 6 so I made a classic easy standby - Bacon, Eggs and toast. I was surprised by the many comments from women all over the country admitting to having "Brinner" as my friend so affectionately calls it in her home. For whatever reason admitting to it was liberating! Yes, I get jealous when friends are posting their 5 course meals (and pictures to prove it), in their clean kitchens with their perfectly behaved children, but no longer will I live in the lie! My house is messy, my kids can be naughty at times and I sometimes serve "Brinner" and I am proud of it!
